Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Holy Studies ("we", "us") collects when you use our website and Study Arcade tools, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account details. Your email address and display name. If you sign up with an email, Wix handles your password and we never see it. If you use Google or Facebook sign-in, that service confirms who you are to Wix.
- Slides and lessons. The text of slides you upload or paste, the file's name, any class name you type, the lessons built from them, and lessons you write yourself.
- Study activity. Quiz scores and which questions you got right or wrong, flashcards you marked as known, sort game scores and finished assignments.
- Classes and live games. Classes you create or join, your roster name and join date, assignments, and your name, answers and scores in live games.
- Plans. Which plan you hold, when it started, whether you redeemed a beta code, and how many lessons you've built. Payments are handled on Wix's checkout, and we don't receive your full card number.
- Feedback. What you send us, with your name, email, plan and the page you came from.
- Technical information. Our hosting and security providers process information such as your IP address, browser type and requests to run and protect the site. See our Cookie Policy for cookies and browser storage.
How your slides are handled
When you build a lesson, your browser pulls the text out of your file and sends that text to us. We send it to Anthropic, our AI provider, to write and fact-check the lesson. We keep the slide text with your build only until it finishes, fails or is cancelled, then clear it. The finished lesson stays in your account until you delete it. Please don't upload private information about yourself or others.
How we use information
- to provide the site, including building lessons, saving progress and running classes and live games;
- to manage accounts, plans, limits and beta access;
- to show teachers the progress of students in their classes;
- to respond to you and improve the site using feedback;
- to keep the site secure, prevent abuse and meet legal duties.
We don't sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising. We don't use your slides to train AI models.
Who can see your information
- Teachers. If you join a class, its teacher can see your name, when you joined, and your progress and results for that class. Live game players can see names and scores on the leaderboard. Lessons you build for yourself are private to your account.
- Wix hosts the site and stores its data, and handles sign-in, plans and payments. See Wix's privacy policy.
- Anthropic processes slide text and lesson content to write and check lessons. Anthropic says it doesn't train its models on API inputs and outputs by default, and that it keeps batch requests and results for 29 days, or longer in limited cases such as safety reviews or legal requirements. - Google provides reCAPTCHA spam protection on our login form, web fonts, and Google sign-in if you choose it. See Google's privacy policy.
- Facebook (Meta) is involved only if you choose Facebook sign-in. See Meta's privacy policy.
- Cloudflare's cdnjs delivers the code that reads PDF and PowerPoint files in your browser. Your file isn't sent to it, but it can see your IP address when your browser downloads that code.
- Others. We may share information if the law requires it, to protect people or the site, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business.
How long we keep information
We keep account information, lessons, progress and feedback while your account is active or until you ask us to delete them. You can delete your own lessons at any time. Deleted information may remain in backups for a limited time, and we may keep some records where the law requires it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to delete your account from your account page. You can also ask us to access, correct, delete or give you a copy of your personal information by emailing innovatewithteganp@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may have other rights, including objecting to or limiting certain uses, and complaining to a data protection authority. We won't treat you differently for using these rights. We may need to confirm it's you before acting on a request.
Students and children
Holy Studies isn't for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to our Terms of Service for you. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, email us and we'll delete it. Teachers using the site with students are responsible for any approval their school requires and for not uploading student records or grades.
Security and where data is stored
We use access controls and encrypted connections to protect your information, but no online service is completely secure. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries, which may have different privacy laws from where you live.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We'll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll give reasonable notice on the site or by email.
