Holy Studies LLC respects copyright and follows the notice-and-takedown process in the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). Members share lessons at their own direction, and we remove material when we receive a valid notice.

Send a copyright notice

Your notice must identify the work you own and the material you say infringes it, give your contact details, include your signature, and state that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized and that your notice is accurate. You can email or mail these to our agent, or use this form. Knowingly false claims can make you liable for damages.

What happens next

When we receive a valid notice, we quickly remove the lesson from the library and hide copies members made of it, and we let the person who shared it know.

Counter-notices

If your lesson was removed by mistake or misidentification, send our agent a counter-notice with your signature, the lesson and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification, your name, address and phone number, your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your district, and your agreement to accept service from the person who complained. We'll forward it to them, and restore the lesson in 10 to 14 business days unless they tell us they've filed a court action. These details follow the U.S. Copyright Office's guidance.

Repeat infringers

We close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe copyright, and accounts with repeated takedowns can no longer share lessons.
